Hola Mija! It’s Wednesday and that means I have a new story to share with you. Meet Cecilia, the newest member of the On the Road Mija family! Cecilia is a graphic designer from Argentina currently living in Miami, Florida. On this interview she tells us about where she has been, she shares what she has learned traveling and why she loves to travel. I hope you enjoy reading her story as much as I did!

Hello! My name is Cecilia Waidatt. I’m based in Miami, FL but I am originally from Argentina. I am a passionate graphic designer, photographer and curious traveler.
What do you love the most about traveling?
What I love the most about traveling is the opportunity to see new things, try new flavors and
meet new people. I also enjoy exploring each city that I travel to as a local, this is how I get to
understand and experience the essence of each place.
What places have you visited? & what places do you want to visit?
During my teenage years, I traveled around Cordoba, Buenos Aires and visited Uruguay. I was also lucky to visit the most amazing US cities, such as: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Malibu, Santa Monica, Las Vegas, New York City, Miami, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Columbus, Cleveland, Savannah… I also enjoyed travelling to the Grand Canyon National Park and Death Valley National Park. I am currently exploring Florida as much as I can – there are so many charming cities around here! I would LOVE to travel to New Orleans and Tennessee next!

Do you have any advice for other women that are scared to follow their dreams?
My advice is to just go for it and don’t overthink it. One of my favorite phrases is: ‘Take risks. If
you win, you will be happy. If you lose, you will be wise’.

What lessons has travel taught you?
Traveling has majorly opened my eyes. I see and appreciate the people and things that surround me in a different way. It made me realize the beautiful world that we live in and that there are so many things to do and see! Traveling just makes me want to travel even more!
Do you have a travel story that has impacted you throughout your life?
In 2013, I was in my junior year at college (in Argentina) and I got selected for an internship to
study and work in Muskingum University (Ohio). This was the best year of my life. I traveled all
around the US, made lifetime friends and I met who is today my husband!
