If you love the Wizarding World of Harry Potter as much as I do. Chances are you have thought of visiting all of the places that have a connection with the story of the boy who lived. As a die-hard fan of the books I want to one day visit as many Harry Potter places as I can. I don’t know about you but, I want to visit all of those magical places that l dreamed to visiting when I was a little girl. I want the chance to feel like Hermione when she first saw Hogwarts. Because of that l decided to start a list of places I want to visit someday. This is a list that I will keep updating as I find new magical places. Here is a list of places that will make you part of Harry’s world!

  1. Alnwick Castle, Northumberland, England
For some of us visiting Hogwarts has always been a dream! This is the magical castle we read of where Harry, Hermione, and Ron had so many adventures at! Where the Weasley twins gave Harry the Marauders map and where Dumbledor’s army practiced their Patronus, Hogwarts is a place that is home to a rich history of the Wizarding world and the same goes to the actual castle located in England. Alnwick Castle is the second largest inhabited castle in the UK, it was a filming location for the first two Harry Potter films. Not only has the castle been used as a set for Harry Potter, but also other television favorites such as Downton Abbey. If you ever want to feel like you are truly in the story, Alnwick Castle is a visit you must do!
  2. Glenfinnan Viaduct, Lochaber, Scotland
Every school year we would read the stories of the adventures of Harry in the Hogwarts Express. This staple in the story of the boy who lived was the stage where Harry, Ron, and Hermione first met. How can we forget the iconic moment in the movie when Harry bought his first chocolate frog? Now you can also ride the Hogwarts Express!, better known as the Glenfinnan Viaduct. The Glenfinnan Viaduct is a railway viaduct on the West Highland Line in Glenfinnan, Inverness-shire, Scotland. You can take the train or walk along the bridge where you can enjoy a nice hike in the Scottish countryside

3. Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal Studios, Florida
Visiting the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando is a bucket-list item for all Harry Potter fans eager to be part of the Wizarding world. Here you can buy your wand at Ollivanders, visit Gringotts, drink butterbeer and ride all of the cool roller coasters the park offers. Both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade are in different parks which lets you enjoy them more fully. Visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is an amazing experience! For me is the sole reason I read the books in the first place! thanks to the parks I instantly fell in love with the wizarding world.

4. The Fairy Shop
The Fairy shop is a magical little store in the heart of Boston where you will be able to find all sorts of Harry Potter souvenirs. From Hats, scarves, stickers and more the Fairy Shop offer’s a bit of everything for all wizards and muggles alike. It doesn’t matter if you are Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff at this little shop you will be able to find something. I loved not visiting this little shop. The owner wasn’t super helpful and super attentive. I highly recommend it! This store is located at 272 Newbury St, Boston, MA 02116, USA

5. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making Of Harry Potter
As the books were still being released while the films were being made, the production crew saved many of the iconic sets, props, and costumes that were created especially for the films – just in case they were ever needed later on in the series.
Once filming wrapped on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2010, the production crew were left with a treasure trove of thousands of intricate and beautifully-made artifacts, many of which wouldn’t have been saved on a typical production. Now you can visit the tour where you will get an insider’s look at the production of the movies and how they made the books come to life.

I love all things Harry Potter! So, if you know of more awesome places like these please let me know in the comments! This is an ever growing list that will keep being updated San I find more cool places!
